Tanzania Chaamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture - Mbeya Region
Our Journey Since 1992
Tanzania National Chamber of Commerce - Mbeya Region is a private sector association which was established in 1992 after its national establishment in 1998 with the support of the Tanzanian Government to strengthen the private sector.
The establishment of the TNCC was an important step as the Government was moving from centralized, planned economy towards a more open, mixed economy giving full scope to private owned enterprises and farms.
Our Regional Presence
TNCC Mbeya region operates in 5 District offices:
- Mbeya Rural
- Kyela
- Rungwe
- Chunya
- Mbarali
2 district sub offices: Lupa in Chunya and Busokelo in Rungwe
International Partnerships
Assistance by Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency-SIDA played a vital role in establishment of the regional and district chambers especially in providing:
- Training programs
- Office equipment
- Business community mobilization
TNCC works closely with different international organizations for several of its activities to strengthen private sector in the region and also works closely with the Government of Tanzania for the same objective.

TNCC Mbeya region is currently having over 30 members, making it one of the most influential business organizations in Southern Tanzania.

TNCC has expertise in many areas of interest to local businesses for their development. We offer these skills and information through Seminars, Workshops and Training in various fields related to our member companies' business activities and demands.
Advocacy & Lobbying
Advocacy and lobbying takes place on various levels. Businesses are welcome to the chamber to get advice and contacts on the spot or forward their enquiries via email. We lobby on burning issues where the business community provides input on our agenda.

We encourage business participation through trade promotions and representation in district, regional, national and international trade fairs and delegations.

The Chamber receives numerous business inquiries from around the world on market access, seeking local partnerships and suppliers, which we distribute to our members.
